Project Workflow

Sri Lankan Aid carries out a variety of projects which fit our mandate of community development. In Sri Lanka, we meet with local teachers, doctors, pastors, and community members in order to understand and assess the community's needs and aspirations. Working at the grassroots level, we are in a good position to address local needs in a way that is efficient and sustainable.

 

Fundraising

Fundraising is an ongoing effort for Sri Lankan Aid. Traditionally we have received incredible support from individual donors who, through large and small donations, are responsible for most of our work to date. Our projects are also supported through philanthropic organizations such as Rotary Clubs and foundations. 


Project Implementation

Projects are generally carried out directly by Sri Lankan Aid in collaboration with local partners. Where supplies exists, all project resources (such as building supplies or labor) are procured locally.
